A poll script requires more resources but I mean.. with today's computers & internet connections, that's really minor.
On the other hand, it's true that there's a chance you'll create stereotypes. As eg if it was in the Polish forums it doesn't reflect the opinion of the Polish but that of the people on the forum only.. But then again, we all know that right?
Isn't there a script where you can have rules for polls? Such as only max. x poll for users y per z days.. if you know what I mean.. or only relevant polls?

Maybe it's coincidence, maybe it's another generalisation but I think it's a Polish thing. It's how my parents raised me too & how other men in my family were raised as well. Yes, I know I read the question. The post office is the cheapest because from there on you can only send it on more expensive private couriers such as DHL or UPS...
I don't know what you expect to be cheaper than the standard, normal, cheapest rate post office sending.
The only way I can imagine is that you give it to someone who's going to continental Europe & he can ship it from there, that'd cut it down quite a bit.

Read in the papers today that the Polish High Court condoned the Kaczynski's for making unconstitutional laws & ammendments. The one where people are forced to confess if they did or did not "collaborate" with the communist govt. at that time. People could lose their jobs if they admit to have worked for the communist regime at the time.

I can understand you'd rather have 2 parties.. but you cannot force it. And if you do.. that's the end of democracy. You (or me) want to be able to make a party themselves with the views you think are just or to vote for one that suits your views the most. Even if they only get 2 or 3%.. that's still a lot of people.
It would be easier if there was only a leftist, a conservative & a centre party.. that's for sure, but I think having lots of different parties is an enrichment & that coalitions work because they take into account more different opinions in society.
How many parties are now governing in Poland?
It's LPR + PIS + The farmer's party right?
One of the problems here is that coalitions do not work. We need a party with an outright majority. It is the only way to restore faith in government here.

The P.C. thing is getting kinda boring now, it was a real good cop-out 5 years ago where you could just say that & all the liberals would kinda feel ashamed of themselves for believing in what they think is just.
But we've outgrown that know.. so unless you can back it up with arguements just calling someone "P.C." isn't really a sign of good arguementation. It's actually pretty weak.
Europe falling? Europe's economy has never been so strong as of this day & age. Europeans all across our continent have never experienced such wealth as of this day & age. And it's still growing. The fact that all these immigrants are coming to work in the UK is the proof, the economy is booming, jobs need to be filled in. I said it in a previous thread..Want less immigrants(for whatever reason, I think racial)? Get those chavs on the dole to work menial jobs. There I fixed it. (And even then you won't get all those jobs filled in! Wether you like immigrants or not, accept the facts, without them the economy falls apart, there are not enough citizens in any European nation to fill in all the jobs, plenty of papers have been written about that)

That's not an American problem, it's a global problem.
There is no public health care in the USA like there's in Europe. If I go to the doctor I pay 5$ If I get hospitalised I get a lot of cash back.. If an American goes to the doctor/dentist w/ever he probly pays 25$ & he pays the full price of hosplitalisation (unless he has private health care)
To keep that alive we pay more taxes & pay money we earn to public health care. If there's one thing American citizens hate it's the government intrusing on their lives & rights & constitutional ammendmants (including guns..) , including taxes. There will never
be a public health care system in America like there's in Europe simply because the majority of Americans don't want to pay more taxes, they'd rather pay for private health care instead of not at all.
The American economy is based on liberalism & not on socialism like in Europe. I don't think it's a good thing, I'd rather keep it our way, but then again, I'm not a US citizen.

Fact is, it's easier to commit such crimes & to go in such extremes if handguns (or even military weapons in some states) are available freely. But again, it's not something that's going to change. But the majority of the Americans are still opposed to more gun control.. because it's in their constitution which is something of almost mythical significance for Americans. No matter what reasonable rational arguements you might have it's "a constitutional right"
We can only hope that one day there will be a majority for more gun control

No, not really. I was just talking in general about the "prudeness" (if that's a word) in America compared to Europe with that breast cancer examination as example.
I don't know how to explain it.. it's like.. we see the difference between what's a gratuious sex scene & what's naked because it needs to be. I heard that even some statues or paintings or other pieces of art are censored on tv/magazines in the US. That's just so ridiculous, it's beyond belief. It's a piece of art! It's a part of European culture.. leave it alone, if it's too much too show just don't show it, but don't **** it up like that.
I'm trying to place myself in the role of some new-born christian or conservatie & think.. what's wrong with that? What do you think? Because your 6year old sees a breast, a very normal & useful part of the human anatomy (no pun intedned), he's going to degenerate into a sex offender by the time he's 15? I'm trying to place myself in the role of some new-born christian or conservatie & think.. what's wrong with that? What do you think? Because your 6year old sees a breast, a very normal & useful part of the human anatomy (no pun intedned), he's going to degenerate into a sex offender by the time he's 15? If you breast feed a baby & your 6 year old is in the same room.. do you send him away?
I think on this side of the pond, we can relative much more easily to what's innocent nude & what's filth. Even in "christian" countries such as Spain, Italy, Poland.. etc.. Heck.. in Italy there's a TV station where the weather report is topless after 12pm, I admit over the top.. but still :) In Poland the #1 selling paper (which is a tabloid) has a topless page 3 girl as well.
During the whole Janet Jackson thing on Superbowl, all the media here were just laughing their asses off. I'm not saying you can't be conservative, it's up to the American media, what they do isn't my concern. But that was blown out of proportion so much.. imo, it was sad that that was the hot topic at the time.. like there weren't worse things happening in the world.
so that there is this battle between freedom of speech and those who want to censor what is said.
Yeah, what's happening is that those who feel there's too much media control just overexaregate into a point where all irony is lost & those pro-censorship then just strike harder. And then those against go further just to **** them off.. etc.. a huge polarisation of society. 2 extremes against each other.. take stuff like Howard Stern, I don't listen to it but I know what his shows are about & there are others as him, trying to find a way on the boundaries of what can & can't be done.
It doesn't make a better show.. but it's anti-establishment.. "lets show them what we dare to say/do"
While here we have a much more laid-back atmosphere about it & that sort of degeneration just doesn't happen. We have our rules too of course.. just not as extremely strict.
