Love / Polish Girls Reputation [231]

Polish girls were infatuated with foreign men and 'gave it up' a little too easily.

oh because with a non-Polish girl it is extemly difficult maybe? as if with e.g. English girl you'd have to go out for 10 years before having sex????

Anyway, this reputation is wrong.

Love / Techniques for meeting Polish girls [68]

No, no, no. Why do some nationalities have a worse reputation than others? Is it totally random? How can it be?

Like which nationalities have a worse reputation?

Love / Polish Girls Reputation [231]

I wasn't talking about how quickly they went to bed. I meant that it was very easy for almost any foreign guy to attract and sleep with a girl at that time.

going to bed and sleeping with a girl is equal, so it seems to me that we are talking about the same thing.
It is easy for you to say you can't change that, don't have to take it seriously because you are not personally concerned - you are not a Polish girl and you will never understand how it hurts...

Well, I guess it's about girls being _bitchy about others girls in general. But the bad reputation was about Polish girls being an easy catch, or going out with more then one guy at the same time.

Luke you should ask yourself a question - is it only Polish girls being an easy catch/going out with more than 1 guy?
I don't think so, I know PLENTY of girls of very different nationalities (you'd be surprised) that do exactly the same, so don't pay attention to the others' opinion, it's with her that you have a relationship and not with "some people back home" :)

Love / Polish Girls Reputation [231]

I realise that I can never understand. But I have met Polish girls who are either unaware of it or unaffected by it. Of course, they live in Poland, so I guess it's different for Polish girls living abroad.

exactly Alx, I never realised it until I moved abroad and I'm now really sick of it you know. I never thougt of Polish women as being easy, unfaithful etc although I know them very well, as you can imagine :)

I don't know the Polish scene outside Poland very well.

I know both...

Girls trying to get me in bed when they already had a boyfriend.
Strange impulsive reactions.
Threats of suicide.
Being used to make another guy jealous.
Trying to move out of a boyfriend's flat into mine.

and it's only happened to you with Polish girls?
The non-polish ones would never do that?
The non-polish women are perfectly stable, never make their men jealous, never move-out. They date a guy, they get married and then have kids with him and they live happily ever after?

So if you know both sides, maybe you could tell us some Polish Girl Stories from your perspective.

sorry but my private life stays private...
So, what are the other places where a man could find some more trustworthy women - we didn't discuss this in my geography classes ;)

Stories that you may have heard and think are credible.

I prefer to talk about stories that I actually know rather than about those that I've heard.
So here is a nice one.
I was in Radom/Poland for my friends' wedding. While I was getting my fancy-polish-wedding-like hairdo done my ex-boyfriend went for a beer and met this very nice, old couple. She was Polish and he was British and they have been married for I don't know how long. From what I can remeber, the biggest issue they had was that people from Poland would breeze in and he wasn't really OK with it.

Also, I know a few Polish girls that have been going out with Belgian and even Moroccan guys for quite a long time now and it works out fine, so I guess it is possible for a non-polish guy to have a normal, long-term relationship with a Polish girl.

But I don't know what breeze in means?

when someone comes over unexpected, like without saying "hey, can I come over this or that day", without notice - hope you see what I mean.

Love / Polish Girls Reputation [231]

There is no doubt polish girls have more to offer than english girls bit I am afraid this reputation they seem to carry around is justified - -this forums are full of threads on the subject!

this forum is full of threads like that because it is a Pollish forum so it is unlikely that members will talk about Brazilian girls' reputation, don't you think?

Also, please don't forget that for Poles the western girls/boys don't have a good reputation either, so I guess we are equal.

think most Polish girls don't really care too much about having a bad reputation because they know full well that it's well deserved and they just cannot change their loose ways.

in this case find yourself a nice British girl with a perfect reputation and leave Polish girls alone.

I tested today their theory of low value and tried to pick up polish girls having a very neglected appearance and using foolish language. It worked miracles.Got phone numbers in minutes.

certainly the girls that you picked up were of low value and foolish just like your technics...

Language / HOW DOES RUSSIAN CZECH, URKAINIAN SOUND TO POLISH SPEAKERS? [18]

There was a Polish satirist (Ross, Rosiewicz?) who had a song about why he couldn't possibly marrry a Czech girl because he'd die of laughter.

I almost died of laughter only by reading this bit (it's Andrzej Rosiewicz).
For me Russian sounds great - it is very similar to Polish but I find it much nicer. As for Czech and Slovak, they sound hilarious to me, some words and expressions sound like a joke, I mean as if someone intentionally made it the way that it sounds very funny in Polish.

I don't know about Ukranian...

News / How do people react when you tell them you are Polish? [71]

i never had a negative response, despite all the trolls coming to this forum i believe most people in UK don't have a problem with Poles.

well said JustysiaS.
I worked with British people in Brussels and they didn't have major problems with PL poeple living in the UK. They were positive and often said that we were hard-working people.

For the Irish people that I came across in Belgium, they said PL people integrated quite well in Ireland as well.
Never had any of the negative reactions that I see so often on this forum.

Work / Do I Need To Speak Polish To Get Around for 5 Weeks in Krakow [23]

You will be just fine Turtleonfire, do not worry you will not be the only person in Krakow who doesn't speak english.
As the others said, there are supermarkets all around the city so you will be able to buy your food yourself without even opening your mouth. They even have electronic cash registers that display the amount of money that you have to pay ;)

In case you do need to ask something to someone I suggest that you talk to young people as they are more likely to speak english.

If you feel very lonely you can let me know and we can meet up if you want.
Where do you come from?

News / ARS cinema in Krakow [9]

Anyone ever been to the ARS cinema (I think this is what it is called) in Krakow centre before?

where in the centre is it? I don't know Krakow yet and it would be a nice change to the modern cinemas...

Love / Broken Heart, An amazing girl from Poland [139]

this guy needs to move on instead of being encouraged to continue chasing a married woman with a child. that's just effed up.

I agree as well + she's got his phone number so if she wanted to she'd have called him, or maybe she will once she sorts her problems out...

Love / Broken Heart, An amazing girl from Poland [139]

she was probably lonely in a foreign country.

I don't think she was lonely, from what I understood she came to UK just for a while - to get money to pay off a loan, so from the very beginning it was clear that she was going to go back home.

Love / Broken Heart, An amazing girl from Poland [139]

just because she was there temporarily doesn't mean she wasn't lonely.

yes of course, but it's different when you know that you will go back in 1 month for example and when you don't know how long you will stay abroad.

Love / Broken Heart, An amazing girl from Poland [139]

I am going to just try and move on.....

yes, you should do that - time heals all wounds. A good thing to do is to change something in your life, start something new - this diverts one's attention from the past and makes you concentrate on the future.

Anyway, I'm very touched by your story I wish you get over it quickly!!!!
How long did you know each other?

Love / Broken Heart, An amazing girl from Poland [139]

Only knew her 6 weeks, Pathetic I know. We had a connection, I feel like a mug.

no it's not pathetic, it can happen to anyone. Once you had a connection with someone and you lost it you fear that you will never feel the same about anybody but it's not true. I'm sure it will be OK for you soon, you sound like a nice guy, just give it some time...

UK, Ireland / "Polish ambassador warns - think twice about coming to Britain for work " [126]

but you also haven't heard of any gaining meaningful employment either.. polish economy has been about +1% growth.

well the British economy even less than that.
Actually, there is a lot of people coming back recently, a lot of my colleagues came back from UK and Ireland, some of my friends did as well. Those who are living in London are thinking about coming back within a year or so.

I came back to PL after 6 years abroad and can say that the situation on the labour market has improved significantly.

UK, Ireland / "Polish ambassador warns - think twice about coming to Britain for work " [126]

That's really hard to tell in the absence of statistics,

I'm not talking statistics but real life.
About a year ago I only heard about people leaving and now I hear more and more that this or that person came back. I hope it will continue this way, we need young, skilled, creative people here in PL and not some Kaczynskis...

Good on him for wanting to pay it back though, many don't and just use the last of their credit limit for an Easyjet flight, which is more than likely a one-way ticket !

sad but true, PL people are not among the most honest in the world - if they can pull out some money they will...

I disagree. we have plenty of young, skilled people here already and some of them have enough problems finding work... without those who return adding to the list.

I disagree - those who return bring back an additional experience and they are PL for god's sake and have the right to come back and work in their own country don't you say things like that!!!
