*stuff*
Just a handful of examples from before and after WW2.

All of which were no doubt covered in the article I provided for you. You remember the beginning. Now compare:

The first written records of Jewish settlement in England date from the time of the Norman Conquest, mentioning Jews who arrived with William the Conqueror in 1066 although it is believed that there were Jews present in Great Britain since Roman times[citation needed]. The Jewish population lived in England from the Norman Conquest until they were expelled in 1290 by a decree of King Edward I. England had no official Jewish presence, save for isolated individuals who practised Judaism secretly, until the reign of Oliver Cromwell. While Cromwell never officially readmitted Jews to Britain, the small colony of Sephardic Jews living in London was unmasked in 1656, and, because of Cromwell's need of their financial assistance, they were allowed to stay.

So tell me... which sounds better? You may have a point on the last several decades alone, but your original point included the word "never".

For the rest I am not going to discuss about this topic with you anymore. You are so convinced of yourself and so stupified in your own opinion that no normal discussion (read with any opinion other than your own) is pssbl. And that kinda annoys me.

I discourage 'normal discussion', so that's probably a good thing. I'm here to debate, instead.
BTW last I checked, wasn't Luxembourg wealthier than you guys per capita?

I don't know. Why the f**k does it matter?

Precisely. It matters because that was the conditional for the latter half of the sentence:

You tell me how that makes sense, and I'll start explaining to you how endorsement of things like 'Gay Pride' marches and the like can turn people gay.

The statement I'm making is that this doesn't make sense, and that I never claimed that popular support for the Gay Rights lobby could turn people gay, and am not to be expected to argue such a point as you asked me to. Sorry to disappoint.

Oh... so you want me to coment on your outrage that Dumbledore (a character in a fictional book)was revealed to be homosexual?

No, you fool. I want you to explain to me why an entire crowd of (something like) absolutely normal people would be so intensely overjoyed at hearing that a character who is known for without question spending far more time than he logically should with a particular teenage boy is a closet homosexual. Did you really not get that until now?

I think Pan Kasimir is gay, but still in the closet.

This is a very common argument used frequently by very stupid people in response to anything that is contrary to the partisan 'Gay Rights' movement. You are not making yourself look exceptionally bright here.

News / French and Poles [146]

Oh and there is nothing between the Renaissance and post war Europe? Think again.

Nothing else that you've mentioned, no. Other than general, unsubstantiated and vague accusations of hatred. You may have typed a lot, but I only look for two things: point, and reasoning/factual basis.

Where exactly do I claim that I have knowledge of Polish history?

Guess I missed a couple of commas or something. Perhaps the original sentence here should read: "about, or concerning my knowledge of, Dutch history". You have made statements about Polish history multiple times already that were quite off the mark. I have made none whatsoever concerning Dutch history.

Face it, Poland is a state of lesser importance within the European context. This might be hard to swallow for any Pole as they think their state is just the about the most important state in Europe, but Poland is nothing but a poor Central European country. Nothing more, nothing less. All the so-called achievements of the Polish in history might be nice and significant, however, the amount of Polish contributions is nothing more or of more importance than any other mediocre state in Europe.

This is your opinion and you are welcome to it. However, it is also a non-sequiter, and attacking my country's standing in the world does not actually strengthen your original point. That being: 'Poland was never tolerant towards minorities like the West'.

Don't make yourself ridiculous.

Take a quick look at your posts first. You mentioned 'the worst mass-murder of a people in history', and I brought up the first-ever recorded genocide to utilize biological warfare. And that one succeeded.

Ah, I thought you were so against taking parts of text and sentenses out of their context? You didn't get the point, indeed and I doubt you ever will as you are so convinced of your own correctness.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but I will remain convinced of my own correctness until you are able to show me why I should not be. We're on the subject of how modern-day Poland (never was and still) isn't as tolerant towards Jews as the West 'is trying to be'. Fine; show me how Poland does things differently, making her less tolerant.

News / French and Poles [146]

And indeed, Polish history is, besides a few points, not important within the European history, at least not more important than any other given mediocre state in any other period of time.

Vienna, Grunwald, largest state in Europe... forget it. Not even worth pursuing.

The fact that Poland used to be the most tolerant countries in Europe at the time (from the High Middle Ages to the Renaissance) is annilihated by their later hatred of Judaism and the Jews.

Which you can't show any better than a single event that happened post-WWII. There's a difference between opinion, and reasoning, y'know.

What do you know, for example about Dutch history? Do you know anything about that? Get my point? Probably not as you are so full of yourself and self-righteous that you most likely will not see anything else than your own points.

No I don't get your point because I never made any silly claims about or concerning my knowledge of Dutch history. Freely bring this up when I start talking out of my arse concerning the Dutch.

The importance of the Kielce pogrom is the timing. Slightly a year after the biggest mass murder on a single ppl had ended a couple of idiots go and do it all over again.

Native Americans? Eskimos?

And the fact that they took away all hopes and wishes of the Jews of starting anew in their former home country. That is the importance of the incident.

Did they? Okay, list current laws passed to repress/discriminate against Jews in Poland.

I didn't even read his post. I was addressing the utter drivel you have posted. If you care to present your evidence for the following statement:

I am all ears.

You really don't get it, still?
Address the complete sentence first, retard. It's not that complicated. If quote-mining within a public forum where everyone can see the original post is all you can throw at me, you're an idiot, and not worth arguing with in greater detail. Didn't I tell you that I'm not here to play word games???

Hm, somehow I managed to get two Master's of which one with honors.

In History? So, in Holland, a statement that can (literally) be summed up in "Well, I don't really know much about the topic, but I heard about these Poles killing some fourty Jews for no good reason once and that sounds pretty bad so yeah I think Poles must all hate Jews a lot more than everyone else does" without losing any value whatsoever counts for something?

Unless you got them in something else... like English, in which case I won't ask how much they cost you.

But that doesn't matter right now. I pretty much summed up the circumstances: young boy claims to be kidnapped by Jews, drinking baby's blood, etc. Reasons: the deep rooted hatred of Poles agains Jews.

You perhaps summed up the circumstances of a single staged pogrom. I hope you don't believe you just summed up the circumstances of centuries of Polish history.

Perhaps you just simply skip the fact that most of the Polish art, literature, intellect, music, science, etc. was Jewish?

A) That's really funny. Give me the "most famous" names (from Poland) in each of those fields, and tell me whether or not they were Jewish. Or do you not actually know enough on the topic to do this?

B) I "skipped" no such "fact". Please address the original point, and do not answer again with laughable non-sequiters.

And here's a present for you:

Please address.

So in your opinion a homosexual person will always have sexual intentions with a kid...so there is no possibility that a homosexual may have a amical relationship with a minor, it makes him inmediatly pedos.

That is short-sighted thinking.

I never said any such thing. However (I assume you've read the book), one must keep in mind when reading books that when an author writes something, he or she usually does not do so without forethought. So then, keep in mind: the homosexual in question in this series is the headmaster of a presumably very large (apparently even international) school, and a major political figure besides. The typical student, person, apparently even employee does not see him except on rare occasions. The main character in question, however, merely a student that he is, is called to see him regularly, and is even able to access his office at will - and is quite welcome to, to boot. I'd always assumed that this was just a plot-hole, and a tool used to make the main character appear much more significant than logic dictates that he should be. Then the author has to go ahead and introduce the possibility that there were... other reasons for this special attention the boy receives, and people are delighted???

You are actually quite funny, did you know that?

In person? Yes.

But explain how it can be that someone who seems to be intelligent, like you, can come to such line of thinking.

Easy: you chopped my sentence in half and ignored the question at the front, and thus the context.

But, what exactly do you want? All gays disappear?

Not at all. To be honest, I don't at all mind the presence of gays, so long as I don't have to interact with them. Hell, I wish there were more of them around - the more women for me!

I didn't say that. You can define OCD however you want (disease, impairment, imperfection). I know people who are biologically overweight which acts as an impairment when running around a football pitch.

Which you could call a disease if you could show that they are not fat by choice.

I know people with a lower IQ than others which acts as an impairment in their dailly lives. The vast majority of humans have imperfections, what actually defines something as normal? How "stupid"do you have to be until you are classified as having "learning difficulties"?

Yes, let's talk Down Syndrome: people are born with it, it is genetic, and it is abnormal. Just like you say homosexuality is. Is Down Syndrome not an illness? Because if it is, you can't justify that homosexuality isn't based on these three fundamentals.

PAN, regardless of whether you define homosexuality as an illness, provide a good reason for the ostracization of homosexuals which goes beyond the already pedalled falsehood that acceptance of homosexuality is some form of indoctrination which can turn people gay!

This was never my argument, but since you asked, I consider there to be a difference between 'not endorsing the lifestyle of' and 'ostracizing'.
Let me give you an example here: you've probably read the Harry Potter series. So have I. Why have I read all of them? I was in the States, and I wanted to be able to criticize them in front of fangirls (philosophical value of the books, my Polish ass!). Regardless, you'll recall, probably, the time when the author, publicly, let loose the words "Dumbledore is gay".

Now, at this point, were I there, I, like a sane, rational person, would be disgusted at the implications. I'd made (to be rude) jokes about his quite unusual relationship with and seemingly attatchment to what began as an 11-year-old boy, and still a minor throughout, but I'd always believed, in some corner of my mind, that the author would have the good sense not to publicly make them officially valid and effective.

But the crowd was of quite another sort of (hive mind) mentality, and their response...
Wild applause???

You tell me how that makes sense, and I'll start explaining to you how endorsement of things like 'Gay Pride' marches and the like can turn people gay.

I do not believe it,, it has been done, it is facts. I dont have the exact details because thats an investigation i did years ago, and any historian would agree with me.

And how exactly do you think they managed that? Oh well, forget it. It's obvious that all biblical support for Catholic practice would be quite lost on you, because you'd just claim that they wrote it in themselves, etc.

I've tried this before.

Hm, maybe all my professors in University were wrong then? And maybe all the documention and literature is wrong and you are the only in this whole world that is right on this point?

Somehow I doubt you paid very much attention to your professors, read the documentation and literature, and gathered the informed opinions on everyone else in the world, especially given that your knowledge of the subject appears to revolve around the Kielce pogrom (which you apparently don't even know the name of, let alone the circumstances behind).

I mean, you don't even seem to register that for centuries, Jews from all around Europe flocked to live in Poland(/Lithuanian Commonwealth). And last I checked, masochism isn't part of the Jewish culture/religion, so the reason obviously isn't because they were persecuted so much harder there. That leaves option... what?

I knew you were bluffing. I asked you to give me a few names of historians you read and you refused. How low is that? I don't need books written by UPA veterans or any Ukrainian historian. I didn't ask for that. Anyhow, PK, I wasn't expecting much anyway from you ;)

How does OCD prevent people from eating with unwashed hands if people with OCD have eaten with unwashed hands? How does homosexuality stop people from reproducing when countless homosexuals have reproduced?

Oh, guess you're right, then. OCD has no effect on people whatsoever, and is in no way a disease or impairment.

Logical consequences of your petty attempts at word games, or complete ignorance in the field of psychology (public schooling in the States?).

Actually, "well" is a relative term, so better does mean well. And I have no idea what that second part of your post's supposed to mean, consequently why I should listen to it.

Are you sure about that?

Yes, I am sure about that. You are wrong in what you say for most of your post.

Life / Openly gay in Poland [245]

As I have stated before, this is utter rubbish. I know plenty of homosexual people who have reproduced. Your entire argument is based on this falsehood.

To have entirely missed what I said earlier in such large fashion, and continue clinging on the same straw-man defense, you must either be a fool or think myself to be one. Let me put this into a three-step logic chain for you:

A) OCD prevents people from eating with unwashed hands.
B) People with OCD have before eaten with unwashed hands.
C) By your logic, OCD is therefore not a disease, or just does not impair a person's ability to eat with unwashed hands.

Do you get it, yet?

Does being homosexual make one's seed infertile? Can a homosexual man, or woman, not produce children when they have (successful) intercourse with a member of the opposite sex?

Does OCD cause one's hands to be unable to move towards the mouth unless recently washed? Fail. Psychological disorders do not work that way.

So if something prevents people procreating (i.e. contraception or a mindset which chooses not to procreate) it is therefore an illness? Come on Pan, it's not that hard to understand.

Your point is the equivalent of claiming that Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is not a disease because people with it are capable of eating with their hands and using public washrooms when absolutely necessary, or that anyone who chooses to eat with fork and knife or use soap to wash their hands has OCD.

Not the sharpest tool are you? A tool nonetheless though.

Sharp enough that your straw-man arguments and word games don't actually work on me. You're playing the "looks invincible on the surface" game. I'm well familiar with it.

"Sickness" implies some form of immobility, incapability or any other barricade that bars ppl from performing normally, or what is expected/defined as normal within society.

Reproducing, which homosexuality bars people from doing, is normal human behavior. We're talking biology and psychology here, not sociology.

Nop, it is called primitive

As stated by Nash, my good sheep-man, there are often a number of solutions to any given problem. For many, the simple solution can be the best one. In this particular case, my brother and I have quite empirically proven the effectiveness of an ass-whupping in providing Instant Discipline to dorm-happy college freshmen.

Though I'll admit, if the total number of male+female > 5, it's often better just to call the cops.

well i have a lot, but he keeps on with the sickness broken-record, so no sense to battle back..

How mature. Keep calling her a man, that makes you look cleverer...

By Sasha's reasoning, someone who chooses not to procreate (i.e. uses contraception) is mentally ill, as this mind set prevents procreation:

Wrong. By your reasoning, somebody with paranoid schizophrenia is just imaginative and careful.

As the above stated concept has ruined his argument totally, it leaves him with no rational justification for his backward homophobia. As it may take him a while to come to terms with this fact, we should show him some respect this by giving him the time for quiet contemplation without tearing apart his pathetic argument any more.

Instead, you call her a man. Very clever... you guys really do justice to your cause!

Look Pan Kazimirez I know alot of Polish people I have Polish friends in USA and Poland and I live with a Polish person so the **** I do know about how Poland view gays. dont tell me I dont know.every Polish person I know dont accept or tolerate them which is a shame.

The f*ck you don't. Your research pool is worse than Freud's, cut the self-righteous BS. We are here discussing how the Government of Poland, and People Living In Poland treat homosexuals. The fact that you, halfway around the world from the area in question, "know" some people who may have once been in Poland/speak Polish or even just had family who once lived in Poland, makes your expertise, in this discussion, absolutely worthless. Your misadventures in the People's Republic of Los Angeles have no bearing on the topic whatsoever.

Silly Americans... get to thinking the whole damn world revolves around them.

So you would also go to a party of young straight men and women in the middle of the night with loud music to beat them up?

If they're outside my window? F*ck yes! It's so much longer-lasting and more relaxing a way of dealing with that problem than calling the police. No need to talk to the snooty cop at the door about why he should go crash their party...

according to Sasha, they are sick!

A point which, along with every other one of Sasha's points, you have been quite unable to coherently and intelligently address. Questioning her gender and orientation does not count. Nor does calling her a Communist.

I'm sure that the books you read detail the extensive history of advanced tolerance towards minorities, especially Jews, that only ever appeared in Commonwealth lands that now belong to the Ukraine, so I'm not going to bother trying to "sell" anything to you, who probably believe that the numerous Jews heading to Polish lands because of aforementioned tolerance were concentrated in land that once belonged to Kievan Rus.

I'd pull the "the fact that every credible expert disagrees with you on the subject..." line, but I'm sure that your definition of "credible" is probably not quite the same as ours, or the rest of the world's.

I have read enough of books, so thank you for the recommendation.

You have read enough of books? One who makes such a statement could -always- benefit from picking up some more.

It is not a better source then books when one uses words like 'always' and 'never', in any way whatsoever. Whether or not Jews and other minorities are well-treated in Poland, I'd have to ask them, whether or not Poland has for most of her history treated them far better than the West, refer to history books, personal opinion is quite useless here.

*and even if it weren't, mine would still be worth more than yours: you may have lived here, but I still do. And the opinion of a bona-fide Polish Jew is still the absolute best source to reference.

Summary: historically, Poland has near-always treated Jews better than the French. The recent disaster that is Sarkozy does not change that fact.

Personally I think there should not be any improved chance of getting a beating if you are doing nothing wrong except wearing certain clothes, making certain music or walking a certain way. That should not be part of our current society. That is all I am trying to say.

I don't necessarily agree on the music. If it gets loud, it can get extremely irritating and obstructive to more hard-working, respectable members of society, and warrants a beating.

And one could equally validly say that a rabbi and Rydzek have common ground (both are men of God), and a common goal (salvation of souls), and no particular reason for animosity between them. But Rydzek sure doesn't see it like that!

Ah, but to bring up your earlier statement: we're supposed to be looking at what a reasonable person would think of the situation.

I guess that one doesn't help my argument much.
Though neither does the lack of apology on his part. I suppose it boils down to the context, and I can't argue that because I don't know it.

I almost said something to that, except that I've done it before with reasonable people and they just couldn't be reached. Topic's like gun control; existing statistics are useless. The point is the fact that the way somebody dresses might lead to (in your own words) "an astronomically improved chance of random beating" and how much it says that we and Poland in particular still have to learn a lot about tolerance and peace and harmony.

This is the same everywhere.
It also would seem that we have a good deal to learn about self-expression, since certain people feel that the best way to do this is through what most sane folks consider to be ridiculous and more importanltly quite petty means such as... unusual clothing.

I noticed you get a bit agitated? Why is that?

Because a response indignantly defending people's 'right to wear whatever they want' is not a good one to posted advice that doing so was not always a good idea if it led to increased chance of injury/death.

On the other hand, I have never seen groups of gays beating up straight ppl just because they were straight and/or wore macho clothing.

Neither have I, nor the reverse. I have, however, heard of it happening, particularly in San Francisco.

No, you don't but do you expect me to read you mind? Are you loosing patience or you are just an arrogant person?;)

Certainly not losing patience. Probably an arrogant person.
