Love / Trouble with Polish Mother-in-law... [19]

It is true that Polish Mother-in-Laws are not very nice at

Yes this has been my experience, I have a crazy mother in law and two crazy sister in laws, My mother in law sent them all out to ireland to work, they were all renting a one bedroomed flat togeter and are all very close in age, so when i met my then boyfriend he was sharing a one bed flat in with two sisters and their boyfriends himself ah yes the mother in law came to vist every second month, I seen my sexy boyfriend around the dublin working in constuction he came in to my resturant for his breakfast almost every day the only english he had was two coffes please, he could say any more it was love at first sight, I asked some other polish guys to set us up, any way cutting a long story short, we went to the movies and after that we went back to my house which was a ten bedroomed B&B that my nanny left me when she died , I said to my darling polish man you never have to go back to that horrible flat you can stay with me, Well he stayed that night and 4 years 1 baby he is still here, But the look on his mothers and sisters face when when well pulled up the next morning after our first date to collect his belongings was pricless, I laugh to this day when i think of the look of shock on the mother hens face

Ok i will just give you the pg version as my treads keep getting deleted for some reason.
Right i will just explain my house, i was left a B&B by my grandmother, its nothing fancy on the noth circular road in dublin, i live across from the hospital so there are manily family members of patients staying with me. So I had allowed the mother to stay given her the key and let her do her thing, the next morning while i was slaving away in for the breakfasts for a full house, an elderly gentleman came in and sat down for his breakfast and said oooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh who are those hot chicks up stairs twoing and frowing form the bathrom with not a stich of cloths on, excusse me what did you say, yes upstairs in room 3 there is only one bathroom on the that floor and is shared between all the rooms, he said i have been waiting all morning. to use the bathroom. As the breakfast room began to fill up i said to other customers whats going on up stairs,on elderly lady repiled theres a woman in her birthday suit. Now at this stage i was really angry so i stormed up stairs and to my horror i seen it my dripping wet mother in law strolling from the bathroom to the bed roon with only a pair of knickers on. I said woman what the F@*k are you doing put some clothes on we don't need to be seeing your varacose veins. Oh yes from around the bedroom door appeared the two sister in laws, " i never gave you guys permission to be her what are you doing exposing your selfs to my guests we are just ahaving a shower they repiled. I said ok all of you get dressed and get out. Well with this my crazy and yes still naked mother in law sarted screaming went running and locked her self in the bahtroom, I was speaking english and one sister was translating. I turned to the sisters ans said well you will have to pay me for stay ing here in my b&B I charge 35 euros each, IF you agree to be gone in 5 min i won't charge you anything. The mother in law was shouting this is my sons house you can't tell me what to do my boyfriend at the time was already in work , his sisters were cursing at me. I just said did you have a nice sleep You 3 dirty GIRLS, GO home to your own place its just around the coner. After a few mins the sisters leftas the had to go to work that morning. I went back to serving breakfast. Thinking that my house was now a polish free house. After the breakfasts were done i went about getting the clean sheets ready on to clean the rooms, on my way upstairs i could hear cries and screams coming from the bathroom, Oh NO THE MOTHER IN LAW was still locked in the bathroom, I knocked and tried to be nice" come on now i am two busy for this messing plese get dressed and go dowstairs and let me on with my job of cleaning. she was shouting and sobbing saying things like " this is my sons house how dare you tell me what to do in my sons house" I just gave up and rang the police I have a crazy naked guest that has locked her self in my bathroom, with in min s the police were at my house , " were going to have to break the door down " Be my guest i said" The woman wasn't even allowed to get dressed the police just wrapped a sheet around her and brought her out to the car handcuffed. It was the last time she ever asked to stay in my house, she spent the whole day in mountjoy police station until one of the daughers picked her up after work,

Love / Trouble with Polish Mother-in-law... [19]

You mean when he was in poland, well he had to carry buckets to and from the well a few times a day, chop the wood, collect the eggs, kill the pig, especailly for a name day they aways kill a pork and roast it on a split. Harvest the bees, make the the vodka, you know bimber its a brown home made voda i think its 80% or somthing crazy like that. as well as drive all his female members of his family around cos ladies from his village don't want to drive it looks better for them socialy it they have someone to drive them around.

Oh and as well as that he drove 2 hours every day to and from the city for a work., and was paid about 1 euro an hour

Love / Polish girls' obsession with marriage [124]

I'm not even saying that each and everyone of them is a gold digger. But many are, and they love to pounce on foreigners like a cat would

Ihave to agree this man speaks the truth

more likely to give her a better life, financially speaking.

Do you blame them??? YOU are their free ticket out of Poland and into a "life of wealth!"

So much pressure.It is unbelievable.

Ok all ture from my experience, my 2 sisters in law came to ireland with two lovely hard working polish fellas, They were very handsome well mannered guys and both very much in love with their girlfriends, If fact both fellas had come to ireland and worked to pay for the girlfriends to come to ireland they spent every penny the earned on rent and keeping the girls in all the latest fashions, fake nails and hairdressers evey week. They were all sharing a one bedroomed flat, When the mother in law came to ireland for the first time and her first time an aeroplane she thought she had hit the jack pot, she instructed the girls to dump the polish fellas and find a rich irish man. Their familys future was now in Ireland now she could go back to the little village and boast of her good fortune, Her son was then sent over to Ireland, his job was now to pay the rent and take care of the sisters, while polish boyfriends were sent out on the streets, they ended up in a homeless shelter pretty much soon after that they went back to poland broken hearted sad and depressed and with no money. Now the brother my now husband had to go out to work construction while his sisters stayed at home he was paying all the bills. So months passed like this and the sisters who are really really really good lookin by the way, bagged themselfs Irish Men. Oh yes here is when Karma came back to bite them in the backside. The youngest sister aged 20 met this 36 year old man I can only describe him as a scum bag we have lots of them in dublin, He was married with a young child he came and went in her life bring her ups and downs, Long story short she got pregnant he was in mountjoy jail during the 9 months he surfaced for the birth, he played dad for about a month and then left her when the child was a 4 weeks old for a russian girl. He has not paid one cent for this child, she should of stuck with the lovely polish fella, as for the other sister she met another fool who has a great job but puts all his money up his nose or on the horses, he dosen't have a cent and now the sister has to get a job to pay the rent

Yes you hit the nail on head, a polish mans sole purpose for the polish girl from a little village with not much skills to surrive is to get a man to take care of them. I think its a weird freak of nature that the girls i met from the village and my husbands sisters are really good lookin, which means they have no problem attracting any man they want, Why do men fall for this why can't men not see beyond the good looks.they have no personalties and harbour a lot of anger and resment no matter what you do it is never right, Please good men of the world be carefull not to fall for this trap,

I have many good female polish friends and i can see a big difference between city girls and village girls, or well educated gone to collage girls, my city girl polish friends as i call them do not behave like this.

Yes, I have lived in a small polish village and i intend to a again when my daughter goes to school i want her to speak polish so i plan to spend the a few years there. I was only with my husband a few weeks and was silly enough to get tricked in to the old "are you coming to visit the poor mother for christmas business" you can read my post its on the deleted page of this fourm. It was then I realised i had to buy a house in poland. I knew i wouldn't put another foot inside the door of my inlaws house ever again so as not to cut my husband from poland life also, we go a few times a year i like it in the summer there is a lake very close to us we go out on a little boat take walks in the forests fishing and stuff the summers good i also like to go when there is a good snow fall as we never get snow in dublin, I think the country side with all the snow coverd trees and forzen lakes are amazing. I am happy you have a little angel, What country did you meet your litle angle in

men like princesses all too often

Any Idea how long this growing up process takes, i understand the princessesframe of mind my two sisters. I am at my withsend with my two pricncesses, any advice on how to deal with them i at a loss,

For example i got a phone call to pick her up as the her baby was really sick, so i said for the babys sake i pick her up it was lashing raining and freezing plus the buggy had no cover to protect from the rain, any way she was only five mins away, I picked her up put the child in the car seat and she sat in the back, now any one that knows dublin city centre knows its a one way street system and you have to drive all around the world to get where you want to go. "I was only going a short journey from O'connell street to north cirular road, She just started SCREAMING what way are you going you fool are from dublin and you don't know your way around just go straight, " I just repiled its a one way system a i can't just go straight and if you don't like my driving get out of my F*@Kin car

Well the abuse the turned to insults of me and my driving the child was screaming at this stage, in the middle of o'connell street i just jumped out of the car walked around opened her door and pulled her out, How could she speak to me like that i was only doing her a favour picking her up in the rain, this is all coming from a girl that can't even drive. and thats the thanks you get if you try and help a whole load of abuse.

Travel / Familiar with northwest poland? [4]

I fly into Gdansk and then travel to Krakow

Well i think it will be a at least aten hour train trip. I flew in to Krakow with cheap flights only to discover we had to pay 700 polish money for me and my family to get up to Olsztyn, and when you buy a train ticket that does not include a seat, you have to pay extra for a seat we had to pay even more to get seats all together, I have to say its great to travel by train you get to see so much of the country side from the comfort of your seat and the food wasn't too bad on the train either.

your right i know but they seem so angry at me at feel hard done by and think that they have a claim to my money and my house all because I am married to the brother. They just see me as a rich irish girl, and don't take in account that i had to work for very hard for my money.

This is despicable

Why is the world full of people that want to bleed other people dry,? that why I get very wary of people who expect men to pay for them and girls that take advantage of men by spending their money,

let others pave their way.

Never a truer word spoken.

Let prinesess pay their way,

you worked your ass off for it. Keep what you got and let others pave their way.

good men of the world ok

'you have to be cruel to be kind'

thats right, i see a lot of men get taken advantage of, like young polish men that are lonely and give in to keep their princess happy. I see my father in law trapped and bullied by a controling mother, as well as a wife and now daughters, he is now responsible for the grandchild as well . I see my father in law work in a soul destorying job to support his family.I had to put my foot down also, where the baby is concerned so now any time i am ask to support the child be it with money or anything else. I just have to say no, me an my husband refused the offer to be god parents.

It's almost like being PC to an excessive level[/quote]

what PC mean, thats a new one on me,

Hen-pecked husbands have been around a lot longer than new-age man.

when are the hen pecked men going to stop been hen pecked, When are they going
to stop accepting this treatment.

I would like to be a gigolo to bleed girls dry.

I can under stand how you feel like this especially if you have come across women like my sisters and mother in law, The bleeding dry can work both ways my in laws have tried it with me, Its time to stop bleeing people dry once and for all.

Seanus said it best, when he posted this,

You are rich perhaps because you worked your ass off for it. Keep what you got and let others pave their way.

this stuff makes me anrgy, why would a woman want a man too take care of her, I remember in the early weeks with my husband when, His polish friends dishing out advice him, telling him that he should buy me clothes to impress me and keep, he kept saying come on i will take you shopping, I found it insulting too me, it caused lots of fights, i was saying" whats wrong with my clothes, are you blind did you not see my bedroom all my wardrobes were bursting at the seams i had a clothes and shoe mountain taking up half the room, I kept telling him what do you think you are my dad? " I found this attuide to be very degrading. I just don't under stand the girls that think this is right to take from a man when she can get it for herself.

''Widzisz ani ty nie mozesz mi pomuc a ja chce kogos kto chce byc zemna i trochu pomocy.''

oh my god, if all the men in the countrys were girls behaved liked this just told them to f@~k off whats wrong with you? get a job i am not your daddy.

You are rich perhaps because you worked your ass off for it. Keep what you got and let others pave their way.

Why can't more girls adopt this attuide. if you can't take care of yourself don't expect others to, how can this be love between a man and a woman one person in the relationship on the take the whole time. Where is the respect? why do men contuine with this why why why,

There is also the slavic concept of generosity.Unconditioned love, unconditioned expenses.

This concept is new to me kind of, I have not really experienced it, i need to know more to understand this.

'you have to be cruel to be kind'

Maybe the men use their money to control the women folk, well would it not be kinder to tell them to stand on their own two feet. If i look at my sisters in laws the are now 23 & 24, can't drive and need assistance from people to surrive daily life in Ireland.

There is also the slavic concept of generosity.Unconditioned love, unconditioned expenses.

I understand unconditional love in a family enviorment with young children, I believe you should help people less well off and people in vunerable positions, you should help the NEEDY NOT THE GREEDY. at some times in all our lives we will have to ask for help, when we were a baby and when we get old for certain, thats ok as long as we are not taking advantage asking for help when we really can do it for ourselves.I am fully aware that life is about giving and you get a great joy from giving, but we must be sure that we are giving to the right person

Life / 3 Things I LOVED about Poland [58]

3 Things I LOVED about Poland

so the 3 things i love about poland are

The baguettes in Olsztyn train station were are the bost amazing and tasty and longest ever, just what you need on a cold snowy winter day.

My house in the snow, my little house in poland is surrounded by a forest and a lake, I have never seen anything so beautifull, when there has been a snow fall, the snow on the trees, ice skating on the frozen lakes with my family and no one around only but the deer watching on.

I like the way polish people wait for the green light when crossing the roads, I know it seems a small thing but it really makes a difference this makes to the driver, driving in a polish city compared to dublin. Where drunken fools jump out in front of cars when driving throught dublin city at night.

And when I do something that is different it is always questioned by everyone (like why am I toasting the bread when its fresh?) to *shock horror*

I am married to a polish man for 4 years, I realised in the early days that if i was a saint she would not of approved of me no matter what i did she was never happy. so i haven't seen her in more than a year. I don't go to family functions when i know she will be there and i never invited her to any of mine. Like my wedding or childrens events, i just tell her i don't want any drama so she is not invited. Even after all that she still tries to cause trouble for us.
