UK, Ireland / Polish Education Grading and Uk Edu. Grading? [73]

...As for reputation, how is a person to know what a person reputation is if they not a "local" tradesman?

I would probably stick to some local craftsman over an unknown bloke from abroad, beside around here everyone knows somebody who's a builder, plumber or an electrician, on a friend of a friend basis. Although that isn't the best situation when they break something there's this problem with whose gonna pay for the damage, despie that it's always better to know the person who tinkers with your stuff.

As for people like builders, they usually sign a contract which assumes that they'll pay for any inconveniences. Sending electricians unexperienced with certain local circuit standards is a failure on the "command" level. Somebody somewhere made a mistake by sending these out.

Slawek076

I completely wouldn't mind you, and what your blabbering about but come on, you dare to finger somebody's mistakes out when your statements make an unintelligebale mess and you go even further and boast about how great you are...

Advanced level?...I must be native then

it's not my Polish English ....it's just you..

I think you stroke a chords with him there ; )

MY POINT IS LEAVE POLISH IMMIGRANTS IN PEACE...GO FIGHT WITH SOMEONE ELSE YOU HATE OR YOU DON'T LIKE AND DON'T BLAME ONLY POLISH FOR ANYTHING YOU'VE DONE...UNDERSTOOD NOW?

Well, yelling and insulting is one way and providing proper contrarguments is another. If you prefer the first solution it's your choice.

I do not bother. I'm just giving you the facts.

What facts? It's still generalizing, in 50 years there will still be many lazy and bad people in Poland introducing us to their bad ideas. That's why the ring main is a shabby argument to point out, beside you didn't even contrargument laddy, you just attacked him without countering what he said. That's why I'm telling you again you should revise what you want to post before you post. And start trying to come up with some sensible arguments.

By the way, I consider that many of you here is Polish including me.

What does considering people being polish has to do with you taking me for somebody from UK? Nothing. It still means you are bad in absorbing information.

don't get me started on the IT people :) It's my pet hate

Oh come on.. was it that bad? You've just met the wrong people ;)

ost bad sollutions in Poland is because of last waste of time from being some part of Comunism

Oh come on, you can't blame everything on communism forever, many ridiciolous ideas, reforms are being introduced by local city councils all over Poland right now, not mentioning the government. If you want to talk about ww2 go to another thread instead of trolling in here, there are other old topics with people bashing themselves over things that are irrelevent nowadays. Instead of admitting that you are generalizing and being half-assed nitpicky. I heard that IT people are good with gathering information, from what I see you're giving us IT guys a bad name reading every second word of what people write in here. Because if you were reading everything you would have noticed im Polish. Why bother posting in here if you are not reading what other people post?

Why bother when your mates are Polish, you can go to a Polish shop and watch Polish TV and your employer couldnt care less as long he gets his 8 hours a day out of you for minimum wage on a contract that isnt worth the paper its written on.

Yeah I know, but that's not how it should be done when you're a guest in another country. It's all about people who are not open minded and curious about the world and culture..

i have seen poles say their are electricians,

And you have seen so many of your own people always being truthful, always legitimate, everyone of them living up the expectations.. I think you're overexaggerating with your "poles no gooders" attitude.

Test before work? Rubbish. When you're looking for an employer it is his god given right to test you, and it is in his best interest to do that ( wait actually the mechanism you mentioned already exists it's called job interview ). As for self-employed - these people are usually building up their own image as workers, so if they are dodgy, or you've heard bad things about them you don't have to employ them - that's an international truth not some "watch for false polish electricians" stuff. If you were a patriot you would have employed british electricians, but noo, you go for a bargain and that's what you get.

Tell you marvelous ideas to hundred thousands people miggrating from uk and ireland to australia and US each year. Years quota - that's some crazy Brave New World drivel.

super mario bros brothers

They are plumbers, muppet. Stop spamming, think more before posting so you don't get second thoughts.

So stupid and primitive sollutions are only possible here.

bollocks, there's as many bad solutions in Poland as there is anywhere else so being nitpicky about it is a parochial primitive behaviour.

Language / HOW DOES RUSSIAN CZECH, URKAINIAN SOUND TO POLISH SPEAKERS? [18]

I really like Chech language, it might sound funny for some polish speakers but it is far from ridiculous.. somebody who states that probably heard it few times randomly somewhere.

I recommend listening to Jaromir Nahovica, many of my polish friends really like this Chech poet, songwriter and singer.. great piece of music..

Vlastovko let - Jaskółko leć - Swallow fly

Zatimco se koupes - Gdy się kąpiesz - While you bathe

Life / What are people in Poland REALLY saying about 'swine flu'? [41]

Some people are panicking but mostely not because of the media hype but rather because of the fact that government stays silent about it, the number of stored medicine is "Secret" - which is a different way of saying "we don't have any", it'd be all ok if we were well-stocked but we ain't. Most of my friends don't pay much attention to the news but they are pretty pissed off with the healthcare minister Ewa Kopacz.

Love / Hard to talk things: Sexual diseases - would Polish women be honest about that? [137]

haha, if there was a problem with AIDS in Poland media would blow it out of proportions like they do with every little thing that happens, we are bombarded with scarry stuff, living in stress, they surely wouldn't miss an occasion to make few interviews, reports and news investigations. There was not even one mention about the problem in Polish press...

oh yes, of course, 10 555 cases of AIDS in 2006, much more now, are "isolated cases".

That's why I think you're just giving us here your wet dreams lecture which is bollocks. Well keep on fantasizing, nobody's taking you seriously in here anyway.

UK, Ireland / Polish Education Grading and Uk Edu. Grading? [73]

The problem ain't with people who lack in preparation. It's with those who are already in UK and refuse to learn, they don't feel the need to learn the language and customs. It should be all pleasentries and integration. But it's not gonna be, because the majority of immigrants had been a lot of lazy boors in their home country and not much has changed after their emigration.

UK, Ireland / Why do Poles come to England? [514]

well certainly we are all getting benefits despite not being in uk even once, every polish citizen is obliged to get these in the moment he is born... and our "becoming a man" trial includes traveling to UK and killing a swan with your bare hands..

Food / POLISH BREAD..... isn't it great... [22]

I dunno anything, but I'm pretty sure someone's gonna type in "but it goes bad in 2 days" soon hehehe.... I love Polish bread ( especially the thick hard bread crust ) and breadrolls but I haven't actually tried any foreign bakery products in my life heh, I was always wondering about British breadrolls, what are the differences between them and so on, are there any Polish equivalents to a cob, scuffler, teacake, barm and many more. It looks like there's a much bigger diversity.. we've got only few in here, and most are imported ideas such as "cabiatta" ( one of my favourites ).. original polish breadrolls that I know are only:

- bułka
- kajzerka
( plus variations ;) )

As for the bread, most bakeries bake their breads and rolls through the night, some sell right from the stove, so it's nice to go there really really late or really really early.. fresh bread is delicious : o

( oh and don't mind the supermarket's stuff, their products are nice, but they are not as good as genuine products from real bakeries )

Love / Do not marry Polish woman [212]

your every post aims at insulting Poland and especially Polish girls. jealousy?

I agree this polsky girl is pretty fishy, it looks like she's forcefully trying to insult without any arguments. She's taking it out of thin air.

complexes

what's "complexes" : o

Anyways, she's Estonian and Swiss at the same time, bollocks, I wouldn't be amazed if she actually was from Poland and was here to just troll around..

UK, Ireland / Why do Poles come to England? [514]

He probably meant that milking uk benefit system gives you enough money to have a house and a car.. :) it's even better in Sweden you can have two cars, two kids and a house for the money you get in benefits.. in Poland you can barely have a one room flat :o

Life / Winters Coming Up...How long can I stay out? [6]

I'm jogging from time to time during winter, despite snow or minus temperatures, you just need to have proper clothes. Strange question anyway, go out, check the temperature, pop your head though the window, after that you should have a broad idea how many clothes should you put on. This winter might be a little different because of the flu approaching but still it's not siberia :)

Language / "Polski" or "Polskiego" - Grammar help [19]

It doesn't change anything, I've just made the mistake calling it a different case's name.

"Forum/sekcja języka polskiego"
Polish language forum/section"
sounds more formal.. and I think proper

"Polskie forum/ forum polskie" - sounds a little bit too informal for me..

News / Man Why Do People Like PO Instead Of PIS [120]

we should however obliterate KRUS.

Any party that's gonna try it gonna be sorry later.. that's what I meant by touching, taking away any kind of privileges will meet with a huge crisicism and the electorate running away to the biggest schemer out there at the time.

News / Man Why Do People Like PO Instead Of PIS [120]

- blocking any serious KRUS reform -> both
- blocking any taxation for farmers -> both

I don't think they are actually blocking anything, there's no party that would dare to touch farmers right now. The other side would quickly retaliate with accusations to build the electorate. Just recall the fuss around teachers and miners when somebody was trying to do anything about these early retirements. We've got "pomostówki" now... The society is getting older, we need a strong party that's gonna reform the whole retirement sector without looking at the angry mob...

Language / "Polski" or "Polskiego" - Grammar help [19]

it depends in what context...

Polski forum.. don't wanna disencourage you but if we're talking about "polski forum" you need to add gender declension, so in the stand alone way:

forum - neuter gender polskie forum
język - male gender polski język

You'll see "polskiego" only in more complicated sentences with case declension, like the mentioned:

"Sekcja języka polskiego". -
Polish language section.

Language / "Polski" or "Polskiego" - Grammar help [19]

you can't just use it on it's own it depends on the whole structure - cases:

sekcja języka polskiego ( genetive case ) - polish language section
język polski (nominative case) - polish language

This section of the forum is in the Polish Language. - This word would be in a different case too.
Ta sekcja forum jest w języku polskim. (instrumental case)
