Travel / I miss Kraków... What do You miss...? [95]

Wow thanks. Ok, I guess I miss just walking around the streets and soaking in a whole other culture that I had no idea of and listening to the people, reading the boards in the square about history I had no idea of, drinking nice beer and just the general relaxed atmosphere I was having.

Thats a great idea for soup, no cleaning up after :)

Yep, my girlfriend is so fed up with people saying "jak sie masz" that she pretends to be Danish

I was told never to try that stuff with them, but is this considered a chatup line in Poland?

UK, Ireland / a trip to Dublin at Christmas? [30]

Too true Ive been in many cities where the same stuff happens but just not on a scale that I witness this stuff on a day to day basis, I know everywhere has its problems but most people in Dublin are so obnoxious and rude they would step over you if you where dead in the street. It sickens me that people can have such little regard and respect for each other

UK, Ireland / a trip to Dublin at Christmas? [30]

Dublin is a s-thole 365 days a year, plenty of people getting sick in the streets, rain usually, people with little or no respect push past, people asking for cigarettes on nearly every street, late night food places where you sometimes have to stare at your table for fear of someone starting trouble, pubs that refuse you if they dont like the look of you, restaurants that are overpriced and so up on themselves that they look down on you as soon as you walk in the door. I could keep going all night, its sometimes not as bad as I make out here but I live here and these are my most recent experiences (this evening included). But Id say give it a shot and see for yourself, its much the same as any city (I would imagine).

Travel / Staying in Krakow at the Pollera hotel, 100 euro a night [14]

Im staying in Krakow next week and the hotal Pollera are offering me a single room for 100 euro a night inc. breakfast, it came recommended from a guy who used to live there. I s worth it or can anyone recommend anywher else to stay? I was told that "John Street" was a good place to stay with loads of clubs and eaterias on it. Any suggestions are welcome.

Language / Which case for adjectives? [47]

Merged:Moja, moją, moje, mój. Am I using them in the right way?

Can I say "moja" mama.

Can I say "moją" dom.

Can I say "moje" gitara.

Can I say "mój" wakacje.

I never know which one to use in the right place :(

Language / "kupić ci drinka" - Is this proper grammar? [26]

it sure is, it's very popular

Thank you Justysia :)

i just thought i'd help you out cos you seem to make this mistake everytime you write grammar so it can't just be a typo

Did you ever think I might not like the letter m and a close together? They're bad news together, always getting drunk and hanging around street corners. (Well, thats the best excuse I could come up with without having to admit I just cant spell every word perfect everytime). And let it be known Ill be keeping a very close eye on all your spelling, english or polish ;)
