US snubs Poland over WW II ceremony?

Because Germany and the Islamic league demanded it! How can you say a country that has been hit by Islamic terrorism as much as this one is in league with Islam?

being in a league with Islamic powers or obey to them or just using them, consequences are same on terain (any terain).

And for how long will this be commemorated, do you think?

I wonder why no one sends dignitaries to commemorate the beginning of WWI? Why don't we celebrate the beginning or end of our own Civil War? Or the end of the Viet Nam War? Or the Korean War? Or the Spanish-American War? Or the Kosovo War?

From another blog on this I read that the US doesn't have as much reason to attend....they would have not entered the war had it not been for Pearl Harbor, and the US does not carry as much guilt over the war as do many Euro nations (France and Britain promised to help out immediately if Poland was attacked, and it took them how long to show up?)

Anyway.....I don't think anyone should be commemorating the START of a war. Lets put our energies into being thankful that it was ENDED.

Here's a clue, if each conflict lasted as long as WWII did that would mean that throughout your entire existence you're in a constant state of war without a break. Just a few thoughts: There were many tragedies during World War 2. We should all take a day to reflect on that. Not much will change for the US during 24 hours. Obama could spare the time; The same could be said for Sarkozy, Brown, etc. Let us all remember history, lest we are doomed to see it repeat. Take a moment of silence for all the victims of war and hatred. Try to make the world a better place however you can, in small ways if need be, instead of bickering with each other.
