Ok i might as well jump on the band wagon. What do I look like? Even though I am not polish at all and have some Yugoslavian back ground. People say German and some say Russian. Just curious is all.

I'm from Poland and I think all U look like Polish and like not Polish in the same time :) Because U look like Polish for one person, and like German for another person. And one person can see German features, and another can see Polish features. And both may have right, because U or your ancestors have mixed origin. Also in my country a lot of people have ancestors with mixed origin, so we couldn't say that somebody looks like Polish man or woman. Ruler Mieszko 1 invited Vikings to Poland, so even them U may have in ancestors tree :) And ages of Slavic wars with Balts, Germanic people, other Slavics like Russians, ages of migrations, etc., resulting new mixtures. My grandgrandfather's line from XIX age leads to Ukraine probably, where are a lot of people with my surname, but it's not mean that I look like Ukrainian (only sometimes I look like :) Today U can also change the colour of your eyes, hairs... Eating much, or smiling, may change shape of your face, and so on :D

Having just spent 9 days in Poland I would have to say, there IS such a thing as a typical Polish face, but not all Polish people have it!

DF nice-looking Polish guy

Just wondering, after all this, do I look Polish?

Actually, I've just found a better picture.

My brother, below, is much older than me and tells me that our parents used to speak fondly of a distant land in a foreign language they never taught us.

He reckons it might have been Poland, but isn't sure. (I think he looks a little bit Romanian or Transylvanian (like he used to sink his fangs into me when I got the better of an argument with him over the Fisher Price kitchen), which leads me to believe we might only be half-brothers.)

BW

So, do we look Polish?

souther is greek(not that there is anything wrong with it) and for some strange reason he made himself an expert on Polish looks. I would ask for a second opinion if I were you;)

souther is greek

And what is wrong with being Greek, my dear Miranda?

So, do we look Polish?

No. You're brother looks Central European, perhaps from Austria or Hungarian border.

You look, like Southern said, more Western, like your brother, you have more Germanic features.

there is nothing wrong, I guess I should have said: souther is not Polish, therefore he might not have enough experience with Polish looks ( unless we are talking about women, but that doesn't apply in this case, does it)

I hope not

I'm afraid you underestimated Slavic looks.

You were convinced, yet, you have more Germanic (Anglo-Saxon) features.

are there no asian-polish peeps though

There are Poles with Mongoloid and Tatar like features, caused by invasions, or in that Tatar case, a large population of them was settled in land grants from Polish kings in return for their service in the army, and they interbred with Poles throughout the centuries

I wouldn't say you were Polish if I had to guess. However, you are not too dissimilar to one of my students so you could pass as such.

You look like a member of some academic community

You look like a human to me. What kind of a question is that. ' do I look Polish'. if you saw my pic which you can do checking it in my profile, you wouldn't be able to say where am I coming from, would you?

gosh i was born here, and also i was,am and will be traveling because of my job,and gotta tell you because of all those crazy wars, when most of them were coming through...youve got even families like my moms:3daughters:

oldest my aunt tall dark skin (for a white person)dark eyes curly hair
than my mom petit pale blue eyes straight natural fair blond hair
and second aunt normal color of skin (for white)green eyes brown hair
there is nothing in them to put them in poland (especially oldest one which looks like italian)

I have lately difficulty telling apart polish from russian girls especially when fashion starts to become similar.
