I found some old documentation that I had translated through this board.
Fabulous job and worth the money!
However, I have a few questions that come from the information attained.
The info translated states the following:
"We, the undersigned, hereby certify that blacksmith apprentice Henryk Ziolkiewicz, born in 1907 at Aleksandra America, district state Indiana County religion Rome-Catholic, was an apprentice in the profession of blacksmith for three years, from January 3, 1923, through January 3, 1926, for Mr. Jan Malik, Blacksmith Master residing at Jacmierz.
Because he has obtained the necessary skills, therefore, today I pronounce him a Blacksmith Comrade. "
Henry was born in 1907 but I don't understand "at Aleksandra America, district state Indiana County" Does that mean he was born in the USA? Went to school there? Or is this in Poland somehwhere?
Any input would be appriciated...
Thanks!
Anyone need anything from Western Pennsylvania, please let me know!
The document is in all polish and is translated as such
I included all the information as it was translated to me
Would this mean that he sent back to Poland for the certification while he worked in
Indiana?
thanks!!
