I Gotta Ask: Who Else Is a Jewish-Polish Person With an Interesting Testimony?

BB, there was a recent poll that showed that 75% of Germans are really scared that Islam could destroy them from within. Gone is the day when terrorist cells are confined solely to Hamburg. You are looking at a future flare-up, as is Scandinavia, if you remain indifferent.

It is not even close. unless you are talking about the term Polack.

He's a Polish-American, these guys seem to have a serious problem with everything Jewish. I think it's because there are more Jews than Poles in America and they're more respected that Polish-Americans are, so they feel outnumbered and underappreciated or something.

not sure if this coment was directed at myself. I am a bit sensitive to the term Jew as my wife practices the Jewish faith. She is Russian. I practice Roman Catholicism. I am half Polish and half Irish. I have no problem with my wife being Jewish.

How is the Term "jew" derogatory?

As an American and being married to one, I am probably more sesitive to the word Jew than most.

Even Polak is sth like nig*er. Afro-Americans call themselves that these days. On jest Polak(iem), I don't see a problem with this. People can choose to give it a negative slant if they wish, so what? Like calling sb ginger, I see it as a compliment.

I would love to see Seanus walk into NYC around 125th street and scream I have come to talk to a nig*er . As they beat him to a pulp, you could reply I have heard American rap and thought it was ok to use that word.

Jew is only derogatory if thrown that way.

But I do agree with you the word has become so commomplace it is how one "throws it". Maybe its just me. I grew up around Polish jokes my entire life they never seemed to bother me but the word polack still does.

Oh, that wasn't my point. I wouldn't say it but it's ok for them to say it amongst themselves.

I understand ...my point is ...some words have an undeniable conotation even when said in jest or ignorance. If the Germans were more fortunate in WWII . THe word Jew would probably mean something entirely different today.

It's the same in Polish, mark. When sb says Żyd, it can often have a negative meaning.

I said "Fail" because he said Ashkenazi is a nationality...
Yes ,you are born Jewish if your mom, father or grandparents are/Were Jewish.

I did say I assumed Ashkenazi was the nationality. Being Catholic I wasn't sure...have heard the term just never bothered to look it up. I just got the breakdown from my wife on the diferences.

It is incorrect however to state if the grandparents and father were jewish than you were born Jewish. Unless you of course are speaking about the maternal grandmother. The father has nothing to do with it.

You're allowed to live in Israel as a citizen if your grandparents were/are Jewish.

Yeah...compared to Jews who are so not!
Would be interesting if today's Germany would make it's citizenship/membership in the german club dependent on the heritage of the mother too..

PI is not bad...they are anti-muslim but to much pro-Israel for my taste.
They will need to change their tune abit to get more sympathy...to lick Israel arse that
much doesn't win them many friends. I wonder why they do this though...

Everybody is racist, but Germans have to be more careful...why? Because they themselves decided to punish their future generations with the guilt of their forefathers. IT doesn't matter how multikulti your society is getting, it doesn't matter how many mosques you're building for the Turkish/Arabic immigrants, you will ALWAYS be afraid of the Nazi Keule that the Leftists love to use in order to make a statement.

Pi-news is very good, but it needs more exposure. Who cares that it is "too" israel-friendly? YOu can never be enough Israel-Friendly!

Well I'm not and I don't know any who are...ROFL

The Nazi-Keule is a mythos too or Germany wouldn't act so anti-Israel when pushes come to shove.
Forget all the nice sunday talks...we still do biggest business with Iran and don't plan to stop!

;)

YOu can never be enough Israel-Friendly!

Fail!
Exactly this useless point is to blame why PI doesn't become mainstream and more influential.
Millions who would agree with PI in many points (pro-german/anti-Islamist etc.) get turned away by their relentless pro-Israel propaganda...
Something will have to give when they want to become bigger.

Face it Butcher, Israel is very unpopular here...and no "Nazi-Keule" could ever change this!
