I always used Campbell's tomato soup. However, I at times (most times) make a "lazy man's" version of them. I layer the bottom of my roasting pan with shredded cabbage, then I just take my meat/rice mixture, form it into the same shape I would, had I ROLLED them in the cabbage leaves. I alternate layers of the meat and cabbage, then top off with the tomato soup. It's simple, and delish !
