Inappropriate merging of threads

Recently I have a few of my threads completely killed at birth by the fact that they were merged with threads that had long since degenerated into insults and name calling (See 'Poland betrayed in WW2' for example), or merged simply because they had a common catergory and were posted not long after each other.

It is starting to limit the answers I can expect and the chance of actually restarting potentially interesting threads that have been ruined by off-topic nonsence.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

if its been discussed before its not going to be discussed again in a new thread.. the name calling happens in debates. the admin and mods do their best to delete the bad stuff.

I started a thread with a title that referred to the genitive case. It turned out we were talking about the dative case (some of the word endings are the same). Anyone reading it could easily find it more confusing than helpful. They wouldn't change the title for me. Grrrr.

Correction: I just looked back at it and it's not as bad as I remember it!

idiot

We all know you are. Tell us something new.

I did. It's just a load of questions! I somehow managed to guess my way through it quite well, but it's not exactly the kind of thing I'm after at the moment. What I need to do is just spend some more time with my book, a bit more time with Polish people and a bit more effort getting them to correct my mistakes.

There were inaccuracies in it too, Osioł. You are inquisitive, that's half the battle.
